1) Have the right heart. God is examining your motives. You cannot fool God.
2) Set yourself apart to know God’s will (not to change it).
3) Be willing to refocus direction and stretch your own risk levels. God will oftentimes take you out of your comfort zone.
4) Be vulnerable and humble, not proud, unteachable, or unreachable.
5) Be willing to assess your own wrong motives … especially when you know they’re there.
