New Teaching Tool

This edition of The Rogue Prophet Magazine is a discipleship tool that churches could use in their new membership classes to explain the covenant relationship with God. Unfortunately most Christians, young and mature, don’t understand the covenant expectations. The covenant oath is a one-God contract with God. Yet many salvation pledges are a pledge of belief that Jesus is the Son of God. That just is not a Biblical oath of allegiance. Jesus is God. There is only one God. The oath of allegiance is to have only one God. But don’t believe me … ask God yourself. If you don’t hear God, it could be that you have not made a true oath instead of a statement of belief.

Update on Ministry Positioning

Well … it’s been over seven years that I have been in the building that I just moved from. Today I removed the last load of my belongings. I’m not quite sure how to say goodbye to give myself full closure. There were many good things and not a few annoyances about the location of the ministry office. Still, how will I walk triumphantly in the new path that God has for me without the familiarity of my long-time surroundings? To take a que from Star Trek to “boldly go where no man has gone before”, I could start with a little more boldness!

This morning when I awakened, a verse of Scripture came to mind. I think God intended that it would help me walk away from the past season with more fervor. Here it is. “And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” (Mark 6:11 NIV) I know that God has been watching how people treat me as His prophet. He takes it personal when someone comes against the words that He has told me to deliver. While a person may think they are just persecuting me, the Lord feels differently about it. Do you remember from the Scriptures when Saul was persecuting Christians and Jesus responded to Saul? “He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4 NIV)

Well, I’m going to shake the dust off, leave the burden behind, and walk with confidence that God is my vindicator. I will continue to listen for His voice and follow Him with perseverance.

Ministry Changes

July has been a very busy month as I prepare for a new season and a new chapter in ministry. I have been moving from my ministry office while continuing to create pages for the latest issue of The Rogue Prophet magazine. The move has caused some delays in posting pages.

It’s probably being too transparent to admit that I don’t know at this point what the new chapter will look like, but I am trusting God to lead me there. The Lord recently told me that He has been equipping me along the way to be ready for what’s ahead. For this part of the journey, I won’t need a physical ministry office but will instead go where the Lord sends me. It seems that there will be many church visits as God has had me print copies of “The Top 10 False Teachings in the Church” to deliver personally and offer consult. I’m not unfamiliar with the persecution that approaching false teachers can invite into my life. But I do stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around my waist. God has been good to provide strong ministry support through my daughter, Katie. So I feel ready to meet the challenges and welcome the victories.

What do you think that the churches need to help them get to a place of true doctrine? What could I provide that would be most helpful to turn false teachers around?

Did you know that I have been striving for nearly two decades to get the false teachings out of God’s churches? I started by simply bringing a message that God speaks. You can’t imagine the persecution that simple truth sparked … but I will tell you that many churches are now preaching that God speaks that weren’t bringing that message even ten years ago. At least those churches don’t have God completely locked into the pages of a book. Now if I could convince those same churches that there is only one God, not three, I would be overjoyed with the victory. Yes, I will have to expect and risk the persecution that God’s message will bring, but I serve a God who sees and hears everything. Nothing is wasted, even the pain.

What will your next chapter look like? Will you seek God and follow Him? Do you have any questions that you want to ask me?
