Jesus is Exactly God

For the past few days we have been looking at the Scriptures that record that there is only one God, not a trinity of Gods. Today, let’s look at the Scriptures that clearly say that Jesus is the one and only God. As we continue in the series “Jesus, the Everlasting Father”, we will prove that the false doctrines in the church have been devised by the devil to divide our allegiance away from wholeheartedly knowing God.

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” (Hebrews 1:3)

“I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.” (Leviticus 26:12)

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” (John 1:14)

“This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,” (1 John 4:2)

“Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? (John 14:9)

“The Son is the image of the invisible God,” (Colossians 1:15)

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6)

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

“‘The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’ (which means ‘God with us’).”
(Matthew 1:23)

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” (Micah 5:2)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

“He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.” (John 1:10)

“I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.” (Colossians 2:9)

“Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.”
(1 Tim. 3:16)

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.  I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.’” (Rev. 1:17-18)

Jesus is Not a Separate or Lesser God

There seems to be much confusion in the Christian community about the word “trinity. The word trinity cannot be found anywhere in the Bible. It is not a Biblical word. It is, however, a word used often by Catholic denominations usually in concert with the idea of giving Mary divinity. Mary is not the mother of God’s eternal Spirit, nor is she divinity. God is the Creator, not the created. Mary was a chosen woman in the Davidic line who gave birth to the temporary human flesh-and-blood frame that the eternal Spirit of God wore as He walked visibly on earth.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or power or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” (Colossians 1:15-16 NIV)

Because God supernaturally provided the biological “seed” to create the embryo carried in Mary’s womb, God can be considered the “father” to the resulting birthed human child. Lineage was very important to the Jewish people. The children were identified by who their father was an extension of their name (rather than using a last name as we do today). Jesus would have been identified as son of Joseph or the carpenter’s son by those who didn’t understand the truth of His supernatural lineage. But some followers called Jesus “Son of God” to acknowledge His divinity. However, Jesus never called Himself “Son of God” but instead He often referred to Himself as “Son of Man”. He used the “Son of Man” label to communicate that He was the invisible God made visible in human form.

“‘But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.’ So he said to the paralyzed man, ‘Get up, take your mat and go home.’” (Matthew 9:6 NIV)

God is Spirit. Spirit is unseen in the physical realm and is not a visible flesh and blood frame. The human form that God’s Spirit wore was created for a mission and was intentionally disposable. God is the Creator. Jesus is God’s one and only eternal Spirit also known as the Holy Spirit. The flesh-and-blood frame that Jesus wore is not God’s Spirit. It was a disposable garment. God is not the Son of Himself, or sitting next to Himself on His throne. There are no flesh-and-blood beings in Heaven. Figurative language was repeatedly used in the Bible to give distinction to Jesus in bodily form versus Spirit form or to describe the fulfilment of prophecies. The “sitting at the right hand of God” words were likely to communicate the prophetic completion of the Davidic Kingdom. Symbolism was used many times to translate cultural norms or expectations into spiritual truths. For example: the Old Testament descriptions of the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant foreshadowed God dwelling among His people in bodily form as He was cradled in a manger and crucified on a cross.

The eternal Almighty God and Creator, who is Spirit, robed Himself in a temporary and visible human-born flesh-and-blood frame. He used that Son of Man blood to bring about a permanent change to the covenant atonement protocols. God had to become flesh to provide a sinless blood sacrifice. His blood of the covenant provided entrance for us into the Most Holy Place to have a private and individual covenant restoration talk (aka forgiveness conversation) with God without a priest or a blood sacrifice.

As humans, we are a physical and temporary flesh-and-blood frame for an eternal spirit being. The human reproduction process provides for the flesh-and-blood covering while the Spirit provides our internal spirit being. Jesus said it this way: Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” (John 3:6 NIV). “The body that is sown is perishable. It is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” (1 Corinthians 15:42-44 NIV)  “You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” (Romans 8:9 NIV)

Only One God, Not Three

Today on TheRogueProphet.com we are looking at “Jesus, The Everlasting Father” doctrines. How can we be expected to have a wholehearted allegiance to God when false theologies want to divide our allegiance between a trinity of “Gods”? There is only One God. There is only one name of God … Jesus!

New Ministry Season

During the last few months of 2022 and even now as we enter 2023, God is transitioning me into a new season of ministry. He has given me only enough information to follow Him on a task-by-task journey.

The end of last year was unusually difficult because it seemed that God was blanking my mind to everything else while He moved me from my home of seven years to a new living space as well as into a new ministry office.  I understand His need to keep me focused on the move, but it has been a bit confining. The most difficult part has been not sharing in the daily interactions with God as He reveals His heart while we write together.

He hasn’t yet told me what the new season will consist of, but I can tell you of one significant change.  In October, the Lord directed me to delete or unpublish all my ministry and community pages on Facebook as well as deactivate my ministry profile.  Since then, I have not posted or blogged on Facebook. God did have me post a few links to my website on Truth Social which seems to be the Lord’s preferred media outlet for future prophetic writings.  The most difficult part of these last few months is that God has been unusually silent about what’s next.  This morning is the first morning that He had me sit down in front of the keyboard and write about what’s been happening.

I need a few more weeks of organizing the office and settling into my new home.  I also had to get a new phone before the 3G network was displaced at the end of the year. So now I’m trying to figure out new technology on top of all the other awkward changes.  Moving is never easy … even with God directing everything. I’m hoping to find my comfort zone and get back to delivering a word from the Lord.  Finally this morning God did tell me that He wants me to finish up the magazine on “Jesus, The Everlasting Father” for February publication.  So, He did leave me at least one area of comfort to look forward to.  Draft pages of the current edition will be available on this site under the tab “The Rogue Prophet Magazines” as each page is produced. The finalized magazine is expected to be ready by mid-February (2023).

I could make assumptions about what God is up to, but my best guess really has no value with so few exact words from the Lord about His intentions.  I think there are going to be big developments early on this year for our country.  Keep watching Trump as he carries the anointing from God.  God has appointed Trump as a deliverer for our nation similarly to how God appointed the Old Testament judges when the people repented of their waywardness. If our nation truly turns to God, the Lord will make a way to save this nation.  As always, only the elect will find refuge in the shadow of the Almighty.

Smug Indifference?

I’m not sure that I willingly signed up for most of this.  As a younger Bible-toting country-club-Christian, I didn’t expect to have to set aside my princess crown and royal robe to pick up battle armor and the title “mighty warrior”.

But God, had other plans … On the day that He ordained, He propelled me rather forcefully from a comfortable life to a road marked with persecution, trials, betrayals, and heartache.  It was all part of the equipping needed to walk me into the role of prophet.

Since the day that I first heard God speak to me there has been an unmistakable burden to share with others what I have learned from Him.  I was 40-years old when I first knowingly heard the voice of the Almighty.  That was the day that everything changed.

Looking back over the previous two decades, I can see more clearly what God was up to.  While I may carry forward the battle scars and deep wounds, I have seen much triumph.  Though my few earthly treasures may not reflect my Kingdom value or standing, I’m confident that God is faithfully holding on to my victor’s crown reserving it for the glorious day that we meet face-to-face beyond earth’s gravity.

These 20 years of learning faithfully at the Master’s feet have wiped the smug indifference of church life from my heart and replaced it with unfailing passion and determination to step in sync with my God.  I will wait when He says to be patient.  I will be heard when He says speak. I will suit up for battle when the enemy readies its fiery darts.

My identity is resolute.  I know who I am and whose I am.

Make America God’s Again: Day 40 of 40

We have arrived at the final day of our 40-day journey to making America God’s again. We aimed from the beginning to spark our own personal revival. Now we must make a plan going forward to keep our momentum going.

What encouragement or challenge do you need to keep pressing in to knowing God’s will every day of your life?  Have you knowingly encountered God?  If so, there is no turning back. Once you have heard His voice, it’s impossible to be the same person who could ignore the Almighty.

In our daily Bible studies, we’ve met heroes of the faith, mighty warriors, and persecuted believers. We have also seen that God expects to be our one and only God; He has jealousy, anger, and wrath for rebellion against His heart; and has amply warned us of the consequences of choosing a wrong path.

Which Bible study character or story did you relate to the most? Which one makes you want to choose differently? Do you see yourself like David as he went up against the Philistine giant? Are you like Gideon, Joshua, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, or Elijah?  Have you learned how not to disappoint God like those offering strange fire?

Do you know your identity and purpose on this planet, in His Kingdom, at this time on the calendar? Who are you?  Whose are you?  What is your “job”?  What is your eternal destiny?  What will you do to change the world … one faith-step at a time?

Make America God’s Again: Day 39 of 40

Today is a recap of what we’ve discovered throughout this revival time.  In the first 20 days we took aim to set ourselves apart to seek God, devote time in prayer, poise ourselves to hear from Him, establish and walk out allegiance, and learn how to assess trials. Additionally, we considered our steps of faith, need for discipline, and how to strengthen our body, mind, and spirit for kingdom benefits.  Then we looked at spiritual components including if we have spiritual eyes to see, ears to hear, a mind that understands, and a voice that speaks life.  We also examined if our heart is apathetic and lukewarm or if we passionately stand firm for truth and justice. We considered if we have a God-conscience or selfish ambition. We discussed the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, belt of truth, feet fitted with readiness, and the sword of the Spirit as we reviewed God’s authority and protection provided in the spiritual armor.

In the second half of the 40 days’ journey, we did further inventory of our spiritual identity by assessing our strengths and weaknesses in the spiritual war.  We studied about enemy and friendly fire, humility, obedience, discipline, self-control, experience, training, and mentoring. Additionally, we looked at our need to discern between good and evil.  We talked about being willing to carry each other’s burdens. We learned that God hates evil and injustice, and that He has justified anger, jealousy and wrath.  Also, we considered that spiritual-bootcamp trials are different than punishment.  In our further study, we read Bible passages that confirmed that the devil, demons and evil spirits are real and have a spirit voice. We inventoried our God-given money, time, talents, and anointing. Finally, we made sure to record “memorial stones” to remind us of God’s supernatural provision in times of our greatest needs and challenges.

What day or part of this 40 days has been most endearing to you?  What part has been the greatest challenge?  We have not ignored the hard stuff! Have you identified anything new about your own identity?  Have you discovered something new about God’s character?  Are you more equipped than before for the spiritual battles?

Make America God’s Again: Day 38 of 40

This day in the journey is set aside to look at the memorial stones or the significant times when God has supernaturally provided for you.

When there seemed to be no way across, God stopped the flow of the Jordan River. The people were able to walk to the other side on dry ground. He told them to set up memorial stones as a reminder.

“Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” (Joshua 4:5b-7 NIV)

Have you written down the successes that God ordained in your life?  These are particularly helpful on the days when you feel alone, abandoned, or powerless. You can recall those memorial moments and be energized with hope when desperation and defeat try to prevail. You can be reminded of those times when everything seemed impossible until God opened a door that you weren’t expecting.  He provided a way to manage the challenges that seemed too big or too burdensome.  You thought it couldn’t be done — yet, here you are, standing firm on the other side of that thing.

When the young shepherd boy, David was preparing to stand against the Philistine giant, he remembered the Lord’s provision in fighting off lions and bears. That memory gave him inspiration and courage to boldly go into battle where others cowardly refused. What is going to help you overcome obstacles and fears going forward? Take inventory of your successes! It’s part of your equipping.

“‘The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.’ Saul said to David, ‘Go, and the LORD be with you.’” (1 Samuel 17:37 NIV)

Make America God’s Again: Day 37 of 40

Our shared process of journeying to revival has involved looking inwardly at who we are and whose we are. We’ve studied the importance of seeking God, knowing Him, and being armed for battle.

As we near the end of these 40 days together, let’s inventory how we use our money, time, talent, and anointing.  Have you ever written down and considered your value at this time on the kingdom calendar.  How are you using your finances in a way that pleases God? Is your time being used effectively to serve God? Each of us has unique talents that when used in a specific time and place are part of God’s divine plan. Whenever God delivers anointing through us, we have an encounter with the Almighty.  What has God designed in you that has been ignored, unused, or wasted? And what have you knowingly brought forth exactly as God intended?

Is there an area of obedience with your finances, time, talent, and anointing that you already know needs to improve? Have you given God consent to position you and use you for heavenly purposes? Do you have the courage to risk embarrassment or sacrificial giving? What needs to change to put you exactly where God wants you, doing exactly what God wants for you, and exactly when God wants it?

Make America God’s Again: Day 36 of 40

Those of us who walk with the Spirit can feel like strangers in a world where it is the status quo to ignore God and refuse to obey Him.

Being led by God’s spiritual voice, that others can’t hear, is the most important part of the unseen battle. However, that spiritual walk with God cannot be easily proven to our non-Spirit-led friends and family. That distinction and separation can cause us to feel like foreigners in our own hometowns.

Having spent the last decade bringing proof Scriptures about our requirement to hear God, I’ve learned something strange about those who don’t seek God. They are just as bold about saying that God doesn’t speak as they are about insisting that the devil and demons do speak. Their false theology leads them to believe that those of us who hear God, must surely be hearing from the devil. Insisting that God’s voice is the devil speaking is known as blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

The devil, demons and evil spirits are real. They have a spirit voice that speaks deception. In the Scriptures, we can read that Jesus talked to and heard the devil, demons, and evil spirits. Those spirit-voice conversations, recorded in Bible texts, were likely only heard by the one providing testimony. All throughout the Bible, we can read of the heroes of the faith who singularly and independently heard God and obeyed.  We can also read about those who refused God and walked contrary to His will.

Hell is real too. Whether someone believes that hell is real or not doesn’t change the facts. Those who ignore God and choose their own paths should not expect to have a heavenly home with God. They instead will spend eternity in the devil’s domain and surely they will hear the enemy’s voice of condemnation.
