What is your belief statement?

Yesterday, God had me write out a little sticky note reminder. He wanted me to create a belief statement that could replace the trinity (false doctrine) belief statements to model the possibilities for correct doctrinal statements for the local pastors. His hope was to make it easier for them to change their “What We Believe” statements to truth. It seems that most of them don’t really know exactly what they believe.

This morning, I went to Sunrise Bread Company, and sat down to handwrite the result of my discussion with God. While enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a huge cinnamon roll, I penned the words below.

***
We believe that there is only one God. God is invisible Spirit (also known as the Holy Spirit). He made Himself known visibly and audibly to mankind while He walked on Earth, robed in Son-of-Man flesh, 2000+ years ago. Today, He makes Himself known to us individually as we choose Him as our God. As His disciples, we should expect to hear His voice, experience His presence, and walk in His supernatural power when we are yielded to Him in covenant relationship. His name, made known to us, is Jesus. He is the one and only God. He will not compete for lordship.

The attributes of God are:
*God is Spirit. (John 4:24)
*God is invisible. (John 1:18)
*God is Creator. (Genesis 1; Psalm 139)
*God is sovereign. (Genesis 15:2)
*God is omnipresent: always present. (Psalm 139:7-10, Jeremiah 23:23-24)
*God is omnipotent: all powerful. (Psalm 33:6, Job 11:7-11)
*God is omniscient: all knowing. (Isaiah 46:9-10)
*God is eternal/Alpha & Omega. (Deuteronomy 33:27, Jeremiah 10:10, Revelation 22:13)
*God is infinite. (Colossians 1:17, Psalm 147:5)
AND
*God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
*God is holy. (Revelation 4:8)
*God hates evil. (Zechariah 8:17)
*God is just/justice/righteous judge. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
*God is good. (Psalm 34:8, 34:22)
*God is merciful. (Romans 9:15-16)
*God is wisdom. (Romans 11:33, Proverbs 8, Job 9:4)
*God is gracious. (Psalm 145:8, Ephesians 2:8, Exodus 33:19, Matthew 5:45)
*God is sin-forgiver. (Micah 7:18)
*God is faithful. (Deuteronomy 7:9, 2 Timothy 2:13, 1 Corinthians 13:12)
*God is jealous. (Exodus 20:3)

*** End of example

A belief statement could also describe how to mend a broken covenant relationship. It could describe how God’s salvation method provided us each individual access to Him to ask for His forgiveness and to hear His response. There are lots of great things that the “What We Believe” sections could include. But know this, trinity false doctrine is NOT one of those things. All it does is show how little the church leadership actually knows God. If you want to advertise that, then go ahead. That’s your choice. But you could instead choose to use your website to equip people for covenant relationship and hearing God. Evangelize to a lost world or further confuse it?

He’s Not Here?

It’s strange that we “celebrate” the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ at Easter. He was beaten, tortured, and crucified on a cross. And He left us! … or did He?

What is the miracle of Easter? Others were crucified on crosses. Lazarus was resurrected from the dead by Jesus before His own resurrection. And Enoch and Elijah are recorded to have ascended bodily to Heaven too. So what is the real Easter miracle? At Christmas, we celebrate the miraculous virgin birth of the Christ child. I wonder with our focus on miracles have we missed the most precious thing to celebrate? God with us! The creator robed Himself in human flesh and walked visibly with our forefathers. He proved Himself to be real. He didn’t have to do any of the things that He did.

God always had the power to forgive sins, He didn’t need the cross for that. God always had the power to remove His own wrath. God always had the power to open the way to covenant restoration conversation without shed blood or a priest. He didn’t need the cross. He didn’t need to be born of man. He didn’t need to perform miracles. He didn’t need any of it. He chose it. Why?

All of this drama after 400 years of silence. Why? Certainly, it wasn’t so that we could have Christmas gift-giving or Easter-bunnies and egg hunts. Maybe He did it so that we would recognize Him. Maybe we needed to have a historical timeline of His human existence. Maybe we needed a tangible God so that we would know how to love Him. Without His voice, presence, and power made known to us, He could be just a far away mythical being. But now we have this place in history where we can come individually to Him in private prayer and know Him. I mean really know Him.

Some do all the talking in prayer and they miss the best part. They miss God making Himself known. They miss hearing His voice. They miss knowing His comfort. They miss learning from Him as His disciple. They miss the dearest parts of our Lord. He didn’t leave us. He didn’t forsake us. He makes Himself known. We get to hear His creation voice. We get to feel His manifest presence. We get to walk in His supernatural power. But some choose to ignore His voice. Some choose to forfeit His presence and power in exchange for material wealth or recognition from men.

How can we show our love to the Lord? We can listen for His voice. We can consult Him on everything. We can choose Him above all else. We can desire to see His face. We can tell others about Him. He can be our God. He is God with us! He is here! Why have we missed that?

But hey, go do the Easter-bunny thing with the churches who teach false doctrine and continue to ignore God. You’re good at that! Make sure you wear your best dress and smile pretty for the camera.

Kingdom Wisdom

It has always been more important to me that I convince “you” that you should hear God, than to convince you that I hear God. That’s why my publications’ tagline is “Don’t believe me … ask God yourself!” It’s also why I always offer to teach how to position yourself to hear God and to discern His voice. I want you to hear God for yourself. I don’t want the responsibility of relaying messages that you might misinterpret. I’m more than willing to step aside and trust God with that responsibility.

Jesus said that secrets of the Kingdom are for His disciples, not for others. (Reference Matthew 13:11.) If you hear God, then you should ask God. The trinity doctrine is a bogus theology that needs to be thoroughly discussed with God (as I have for the last 20+ years). Various religions have multiple gods but Christianity, unlike Trinitarianism, is a one-God (monotheistic vs. polytheistic) religion.

Attached is one of the pages at the end of the revised “Jesus, The Everlasting Father” magazine. Please tell me what you think.

They Did NOT Recognize Him!

They didn’t recognize Him! He spoke creation. He spoke to the prophets and patriarchs. He became flesh … and they didn’t recognize Him. They crucified His (Son of Man) body! Do you know the Everlasting Father? Do you recognize His voice?

“Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” (John 8:47 NIV)

“Don’t Believe Me. Ask God yourself.”

That title is my tagline on many of my publications. I’m sincere in that request that you seek God and ask Him yourself. I don’t want you to believe me. You are individually responsible to ask God about all doctrines. I often give you the words that I have heard from God but I fully expect you to verify everything with God. If you don’t hear His voice in prayer then that becomes difficult for you to do.

In addition to delivering words from the Lord, I also try to bring you Scriptures that support the words from God. Still if you are a child of God, you should have discernment if the words are from God or not. You are responsible to God, not to me, or your pastor, spouse, friend, boss etc. to know true doctrine.

Why would God continue to put up with pastors who teach a three-gods theology in a one-God (monotheistic) religion? God calls them false teachers because they teach falsely about who God is. Some of them, rather than seek God to clear up their false doctrine, try to discredit God’s prophet (me). The big problem with that is that God sees everything including their continued false teaching.

When God calls me to step away from the false teachers that refuse to listen, the Lord is about to bring His wrath and punishment for their rebellion. In that process, the false teaching pastor may take the whole church down with him for refusing to seek God for true doctrine. God has told me to step away from two pastors in this town. Those two pastors are not the only two who teach falsely but they are two that God has seen their ugly hearts and pride as they continue to teach falsely after God sent His prophet to urge them towards repentance and seeking God. They refused and God is not pleased. If you are a congregant at one of the two churches (seek God for which ones) you should ask God if you should move to a different church or warn the pastor because staying and remaining quiet will make you complicit … and the Lord will deal with you accordingly.

The God of the Covenant (The Only One)

In the Old Testament times, God dwelled among His people in the Tabernacle (Exodus 25:8-9). The Ark of the Covenant was a place of God’s presence (Exodus 25:22). The New Testament fulfillment was God in flesh, aka Jesus, dwelling among His people (John 1:14).

While we don’t go around calling Jesus “The Tabernacle” or “The Ark of the Covenant” to identify Him as “God with us” or “God’s presence”, those identifiers represent prophecies fulfilled as God made Himself known in human form (Isaiah 9:6, Exodus 25).

God gave exact specifications for how the Tabernacle would be designed. The Tabernacle was a tent of meeting and a precursor to Solomon’s Temple. Both were created to be a place where a sinful people could approach a Holy God. The high priest would enter the Most Holy Place once a year on the Day of Atonement. The high priest’s role was to sprinkle blood on the mercy seat atop of the ark of the covenant to atone for the sins of the people. The hope was that the judgment of God would be transformed into mercy from God. I should note that the sprinkling of blood did not obligate God to forgive the rebellion or evil deeds of the people. It was simply an act to signal a hope for covenant restoration from God. Without restoration God could abandon His people as they abandoned Him in their disobedience and sin. (Think of a marriage contract where one betrays the other with infidelity.)

Everything about Christ on the cross was to replace the earlier Tabernacle and Temple. For example: The veil or curtain that divided the Holy Place and the residing place of the Ark of the Covenant (aka the Most Holy Place) was torn from top to bottom when Jesus died. The torn veil at the entrance to the Most Holy Place symbolized our ability to approach God for a private and individual covenant restoration conversation. We don’t need a high priest to approach God on our behalf. Jesus (who is God) was the final priest. He forever fulfilled the need for intercession. We are each responsible to have conversation directly with God. (Read Hebrews 10:10-12.)

Trinity Doctrine Arguments

They all say that they want revival to happen. But do you believe them?

Why would God deliver revival to a nation that ignores Him? Why would God use pastors who teach Trinitarian bogus theology to lead a Christian revival movement? Why would He anoint pastors who reject the anointing that God puts on women to unite His people?

All these pastors need to do is learn to hear God’s voice in prayer and hear His true doctrines directly from Him … and of course obey Him to teach those truths correctly. Listen, I have tried countless times to connect with a few of the pastors that God has named to help them learn to hear God’s voice in prayer. They don’t want to learn. They want their own seats of honor AND they do not want God to send a woman to teach them. So, that’s where I’m at!

I don’t know how to convince them that God is a “He” not a “They”. I hear them say it wrong all the time.

One God, God is Spirit, One Name, One Savior, One First & Last. It seems clear to me, but for whatever reason, those pastors cannot be convinced. If only they would hear God tell them … maybe then they would understand.

As Iron Sharpens Iron

Contrast teaches. None of us want to be the arrogant, unanointed buffoon that God sees as an idiot. We instead want to be favored by God and entrusted with His anointing as good citizens and mentors to the next generation. But can we adequately judge ourselves if our lens of inspection is filtered with unfocused heart motives and deceptive theologies?

When God tasked me to assess the churches locally, I wanted to be used by God for productive investment to advance His Kingdom. I still want that. But what I met in my efforts to obey God was a less than receptive audience who didn’t seem to want the same thing.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17NIV)

Constructive conflict is important to grow in Christ-like maturity. We must be willing to examine ourselves without bias, allow those who love us to point out weaknesses in our character and technique, and invite God to perform surgery on our wayward hearts. It’s not comfortable, especially if we thought that we had already arrived at a healthy level of success.

Maybe it will be helpful to hear some of the descriptive words that God has used when He talks with me about the pastors. About one of the pastors, God said “He hasn’t trusted me to empower him, so I have not anointed him. He’s more comfortable with a book-learning approach than being Spirit-led.” Another pastor was described by God as being more charismatic, but “he fakes it when he hasn’t spent quality time with me.” Another pastor was described as humble, willing to be teachable, approachable, and communicative. God values sincerity.

Some of those pastors have been a little too sassy with me by intentionally ignoring my private messages or blocking me on social media platforms. It’s ok though because I too have been a little sassy with God when He forced me to listen to their sermons. Not much about this process has been comfortable, but maybe iron sharpened iron. Maybe some cried out to God and He heard their pleas for consolation. Maybe some drew near to God and gave access for that needed inspection. Maybe others finally clued in to hearing God’s voice in prayer. And perhaps others will entrust God to anoint them to deliver Spirit-led and powerful messages.

I know that I’ve seen new insight from God’s perspective. He’s allowed me to sit with Him and feel His heart for each church, the congregations, and ministers. I know that God is invested. 1) I know with certainty that He hates those cameras rolling when He wants to move stealthily among His people. Why would you want to publicly humiliate His children when they come to the altar for His healing touch by filming them in a vulnerable state? Why would you intentionally record for public consumption the communion time or offering time that is supposed to be devoted to God? 2) God hates the false doctrines and the twisted manipulations that allow pastors to lord themselves over innocent and faithful followers. 3) God hates insincerity and greed. 4) God values the women that have been overlooked and discarded by foolish men that should have been entrusted to lift them up and spotlight their Kingdom beauty, anointing, giftedness, and nurturing hearts.

So, you may be wondering, after about 50 days of posts and insight from God to the local churches, if it has affected change. God says that it has, and I see little bright spots of growth in doctrinal areas from some of the pastors. I think we all have been challenged to be better versions of ourselves. We find the best answers by hearing God and allowing Him to teach, instruct, chastise, and discipline us as He shapes us into His design.

God is leading me to take time away from this endeavor to work on another area of ministry. I hope for God-honoring success for each of us as we step forward. Seek Him to know Him! I can be reached at TammieEdwards@therogueprophet.com.

The Goodness of God

Many days as I am waking up in the early morning hours, there is already a song in my heart. One of my favorite songs to hear in my spirit is “The Goodness of God”. The lyrics, “All my life you have been faithful …” remind me that I’m grateful for the goodness of God. (Btw: In my opinion, nobody can sing that song like Ce Ce Winans.)

This Sunday, I visited Calvary Chapel, Titusville. Yes, there is a Calvary Chapel that has been meeting locally for nearly one year. The pastor preached a great message leading the congregation in a continuing verse-by-verse study of the Bible, currently in the book of Acts. After the sermon, we sang together the song “The Goodness of God”. I can’t adequately explain how endearing that was to me. It, tied to the confirming message from the pastor, fueled me. Currently, the church is meeting in a confined space but is only about one month away from moving into their expanded and newly remodeled worship center.

God is moving in Titusville. He is definitely shaking up the pulpits too. Because I regularly visit different churches, I can see where God is tearing down and where He is building up. The pastors that are willing to seek God and hear from Him are being positioned to lead a growing spiritual revival. However, the others who are stubbornly holding on to false doctrines and cultural traditions will lose their followers when God shifts congregants to new locations. God is wanting church leaders to humble themselves under His authority rather than arrogantly holding on to their man-made seats of honor.

God told me right away when Steve Yuke was ousted at Park Avenue Baptist Church, that Steve would create a new church. It is currently happening, with pre-launch services on Sunday evenings at the American Police Hall of Fame. The church is named Church Four Eighteen (C418), after a key Bible verse from Luke 4:18. There is a Facebook page and a website with the same name. I’m glad to hear that Steve moved quickly to get a Women’s Ministry Director. That’s vital for healthy church growth. God is watching for good doctrinal teaching now that the pastor is not confined to Baptist denominational stance. I’m hoping for God-honoring success.

God led me to write this on the introduction page of my latest magazine. “If revival is going to happen, we must be risk-taking truth-tellers. We cannot accept the herd mentality that is so prominent in churches today. We cannot sit back and accept false teaching for the sake of maintaining a fake unity. God expects us to stand against the devil’s schemes, not to accept them in a feigned peace-keeping bravado. Have courage to speak God’s truth even if it hurts. That’s revival!”

The introduction continued: “Hear God, speak truth, fight for justice, war against evil, expose lies, walk in the Spirit, don’t blend in. The devil wants to weaponize your compassion into accepting less. Isn’t that why revival doesn’t happen? Status quo isn’t cutting it! Stand in the destiny calling that God ordained for you. RISE UP to create revival.”

Every day since the end of last year, I have been writing daily posts as God has led me to assess the churches locally. You might not understand how important this is to God if you’re not being similarly led by Him. But because I’m walking in my own shoes, I can say with certainty that God is all over this. He forces me to listen to online sermons from several churches each week. He wakes me up earlier and earlier to engage me in writing these posts. He reviews each paragraph with me. He modifies and edits the structure until it suits Him. He introduces words that are not part of my normal vocabulary. I think that He does that to remind me that these are not just my own thoughts being typed onto the page. He allows me to feel His determination and passion against the false doctrines and at times against the false teachers. It’s important to God that I be completely in sync with Him. Doesn’t He want you to walk as intentionally with Him? Will you go where He leads? Will you speak boldly against the devil’s attempts at perverting what the church is supposed to be? Will you war against evil or will you instead sit proudly in its midst?

It’s not easy being the rogue prophet, but God wouldn’t have it any other way!
