A Warning From God!

* “Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.” (Isaiah 63:10 NIV)

Lately, I have been hearing too many pastors trying to describe God’s wrath as something passive and mild. One pastor even said that God’s wrath in the Old Testament times is removed, and that when He comes again His wrath will look like salvation and mercy. What Bible is that pastor reading? What God does He speak with in prayer?

* “Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, ‘Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.’” (Revelation 16:1 NIV)

Listen, maybe I get a very different picture as God’s prophet than the pulpit pastors receive. I’m always being given a word of warning, caution, and rebuke to deliver from God. You can wrap it in that it must be from the devil so that you can feel good about your nonsense, but that doesn’t change anything from God’s perspective. God knows it was a warning. Play your games and you will find yourself being humbled under His wrath. Then perhaps you will know that He is God.

So, I don’t like writing this on September 11th while many people, myself included, mourn the great losses of that day. But you must at least consider that God could have stopped the events of 9/11. I’m not saying that everyone who was lost on that day was a victim of God’s wrath. Some people were surely just at the wrong place at the wrong time and even had a heavenly home for eternity that began on that day. But you cannot take God’s sovereignty out of the picture. Yes, I know you think that I’m a horrible person for bringing up the matter. But you aren’t denying God’s sovereignty are you?

Over and over again, God allowed His chosen people Israel to be taken into captivity for refusing God. They bowed down to false gods and provoked God’s wrath against them. Have we done the same thing in this nation? (And should I point out that the devil wants you to believe that God doesn’t have a wrath so that you just keep on ignoring God and His warnings through the prophets.)

Finally, the God of the Old Testament is the exact same one and only God of the New Testament.

* “You have wearied the Lord with your words. ‘How have we wearied him?’ you ask. By saying, ‘All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them’ or ‘Where is the God of justice?’” (Malachi 2:17 NIV)

* “I myself will be hostile toward you and will afflict you for your sins seven times over. And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands.” (Leviticus 26:24-26 NIV)

* “Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” (Proverbs 1:23-33 NIV)

Who Chose King David Anyways?

Have you ever tried to decide who to vote for without God’s advice and counsel?

Recently, I had a conversation with someone who was against a certain political candidate who called themselves a Christian but didn’t act like one. I don’t know who the candidate was because our conversation was interrupted before she was allowed to make her point and before I could respond.

So, I’d like to have the conversation here.

1) First, I absolutely know many people who call themselves Christian and don’t act like Christians. You see, Christians are supposed to hear God’s voice in prayer. Without hearing God, you are just playing religion. You can call yourself a Christian and miss the mark completely if God is not leading you. (And btw, we are all sinners. Perhaps your sin just hasn’t been exposed, but it could be.)

2) Next, David didn’t look like the logical pick to be God’s chosen king. He was a shepherd boy. His brothers could have been chosen, but they weren’t. Why? Could it be because God divinely orchestrated something in David that was meant for Kingdom purposes. Certainly, if you looked at King David’s life, you can’t just gloss over the fact that he had multiple wives, one of whom, he had an adulterous affair with and had her husband killed. Did that disqualify him from service? Apparently not, since he went on to do great things including to be a father in the lineage of Jesus.

3) Can we look at the Prostitute Rahab’s life and think that it was useless because of her position in the culture? Yet, God chose her for Kingdom work. Do you have a problem with that?

4) If you aren’t asking God who to vote for because you haven’t bothered to humble yourself under His authority, you are the adulterous people that you claim to hate. God often called the people of Israel adulterous when they bowed down to other gods. Isn’t that what you are doing when you choose someone other than God’s chosen vessel? Why would you vote against God?

What if Samuel would have ignored God’s leading to choose a shepherd boy to anoint for Kingdom purpose? What if Samuel thought that he could choose more wisely than God? (Then, he would have been just like you.)

Whose Permission?

I don’t get it! When did God need permission to call someone His prophet? When did that begin? Did He have authority to call Isaiah or Jeremiah as prophets? Did God have authority to deliver words through Ezekiel or Hosea? Did God suddenly lose His authority and now need permission to call His prophets today? Permission from you?

So, listen, God doesn’t need your permission or consent. If you want me to pretend that I’m not His prophet so that you can feel better about all the times that you ignored God or refused Him, that doesn’t work for me. When God called me, I stepped one foot in front of the other and walked out my faith journey. I never once denied Him even when I knew that I would be mocked, forsaken, and persecuted. You could only hope to have my perseverance.

I’m not willing to carry your ignorance with me. I’m God’s prophet and that’s all there is to it. If you had your own relationship with God, you could certainly ask Him. But the fact that you can’t be bothered to humble yourself enough to ask Him is exactly why you haven’t been chosen for very much in the Kingdom. That may not affect you today, but there will be a day when your refusal will devour you.

And listen, just because you haven’t heard God say something doesn’t mean that you are allowed to just do the opposite of what God wants. There are consequences for your neglect. I’m warning you to start taking the time to ask God, hear from Him, and obey. Ignoring God is defiance, but coming against His chosen ones, is all out rebellion. God will punish you with all authority … no permission needed.

The Suggestive Voice of the Deceiver

If God has gifted you with the ability to hear His voice in prayer it is because He expects your obedience.

God has made my assignments very clear to me. Daily He speaks to me about His intentions. First and foremost, I have been purposely anointed to hear His voice so that I can teach others to hear Him similarly. Next, He has anointed me to EQUIP THE CHURCH to recognize false doctrines, uncover the clever lies of the evil one, and to choose truth through listening to God.

Deliverance ministry has always been part of the assignment but only very specifically as God leads. I do not move in the deliverance arena without God’s leading. Finally, during election seasons, God often has me bring specific words about candidates and ballot issues.

Again, I’m daily instructed in the exact assignment that God has for me. I never have to wonder if I’m on the right track because God is extremely clear about my role as His apostle, prophet, and deliverance minister.

So, when someone suggests to me that perhaps God would want me to do something else rather than “fight” the churches, I know that the devil is feeling the sting of the ministry that God delivers through me. I’m not ever far from God’s exact words to me. All I need to do is say “God, what do you think about …?”, or “How do you want me to respond?” and listen for His answer.

This position close to God provides that the devil can never deceive me away from God’s specific assignments for me, no matter how many suggestive voices the deceiver sends my way. God is my God. I know whose I am and who I am. Do you?

New Magazine Assignment

This morning, God made it official that I have a new assignment of creating a magazine about the healthy church vs. the unhealthy church. I blame it all on you, the readers. This topic has been one of the most liked of all the ministry blog posts so far. Really, though I do enjoy your likes, so please keep letting me know what is important to you.

Today, I spent the day working on a DRAFT magazine cover. Most of the content, minus graphics and page layout, are already complete for the majority of the pages. It’s just the posts that you have already read. I’m sure the Lord will have some things to add, but for now what do you think about the cover? I need feedback.

What Does God Say About Data Centers & Flock Cameras?

One of the things that I would guess you would actually want from God’s prophet is to hear what God thinks about things being done against you. Oh, I know you don’t want to hear about the things that you and yours are doing wrong. I get that. You want to persecute me for telling you when your pastors are leading you astray because you’re loyal to them.

But would you want God’s prophet to tell you about things that could harm you and your family line? Would you want to know what the devil is going to use to entrap you? Would you want to know where your freedom is being subtly stolen from you?

I’m going to preface the next few paragraphs with this one. Have your own conversation with God. You are responsible to do that. Again, have your own conversation with God and listen for His answers. Please don’t be the one who jumps on the bandwagon against our freedoms just because you are loyal to a particular person. Remember I’m clearly telling you to ask God yourself!

I love President Trump. I believe that God anointed him to save our nation from socialism and communism. Even with that, we have many more enemies that are determined to defeat us. So, the problem is that this morning Trump came out (on Truth Social) FOR data centers. Now, I really don’t like to be against my favorite President. I don’t. But I asked God about Trump’s stance for instead of against data centers. God is strongly opposed to data centers AND flock cameras. Data centers and flock cameras both give way to unwarranted surveillance and injustice.

Let me repeat that last part with emphasis. GOD IS STRONGLY OPPOSED TO DATA CENTERS and FLOCK CAMERAS. Data centers and flock cameras both give way to unwarranted surveillance and injustice. While we might want to trust those in charge of management of those systems, both can be hacked and used to penalize our freedoms.

So as God’s prophet, I am telling you first to go have your own conversation about these subjects with God, and second that if you vote against God or refuse to stand strongly and boldly as He leads, you will be responsible and complicit when our freedoms are weakened. God will see it and discipline or punish accordingly.

Remember that throughout the Scriptures, the Israelites were taken into captivity because they refused God and ignored Him. Please don’t be part of the downfall of this great nation.

The Healthy Church Vs. The Unhealthy Church: Children, Youth, Women & Men’s Ministries

The Lord and I have talked about this at length, and while I might frame this as if it were my own opinion, it has been formed with talking with the Lord and hearing His heart on this matter.

For several years, I was a women’s minister in a Church of God church plant. Prior to that assignment from God, I had no idea the many hurts that women endure. Yes, I had experienced my own pains but perhaps I thought that other women had not gone through those same things. I was wrong. I would guess that about 1-in-3 women have endured some form of sexual abuse in childhood or in young adulthood.

Women confided in me. And I watched as those same women would shrink from any encounter with male pastors. Not that the pastors had abused them, but all of those women had been abused by men. It is hard for a sexually abused woman to learn from a man when there is a deep emotional wound that can forsake trusting men. Don’t hate on me for bringing this to light. Women need strong female teachers and counselors. The Bible even specifically calls for the older women to teach the younger women. There is no place in the Scriptures that says for men to teach women (unless it is their own illiterate wives). So, yes, I absolutely believe that churches should have women ministers that teach and counsel Biblically. But, please, please, please ASK GOD!

I jumped right into talking about women’s ministry because that is the category that I’m personally in. I do believe that we must have well-trained and effective Youth Ministers. We must help the younger generations know how to walk with the Spirit of God before they make monumental life decisions as young adults that could be disastrous for their futures. This is not something that should be played with. Turning youth ministry into a playground instead of an important call from God, is going to lead to a rebellion that God will not fail to judge. You can make it interesting without making it fruitless. Youth must be made aware of the spiritual war.

I believe that Children’s ministry is very important. But it should not be solely about filling time with coloring papers. Children need to learn that their place in listening to God’s voice is very important. Listen, the devil can speak to them whether you bother to teach them about the spiritual forces of evil or not. Certainly, they should be aware that God has a voice that they need to learn to recognize. I homeschooled my children for several years during their elementary education. My children received a good foundation for their Christian walk. Some of it was magnified through the church and through Christian homeschool co-ops. But for the children in public schools, they likely aren’t getting as much solid foundation. Please churches, have dedicated children’s ministers that take seriously God’s assignment in teaching children to know Him versus just knowing about Him.

Men’s ministry is also sorely needed. Men have different needs than women. It would not be appropriate to put a woman in charge of men’s ministry any more than it would be to put a man in charge of women’s ministry. Listen, men please teach men to have their own relationship with God and to also expect that women should have their own relationship with God. The foolishness of teaching that men are the only ones to have relationship with God, while insisting that women submit to the men instead of to God is rebellion against God. I promise you, He will punish you and your family line for that stupidity. Again, don’t believe me. Ask God yourself.

It is my opinion that it is reckless to refuse to have good ministers in each of the areas mentioned. They should not be just a placeholder agent. Each minister should be in their own relationship with God and hearing His voice. You cannot minister effectively without that. Also, these positions should be paid positions, if even part-time pay. I go back to talking about the Christmas shoe boxes. If your church has the money to send worthless trinkets over to other nations, then you better being paying your ministers first. If you have $60,000 to repave your parking lot, but you don’t have a Youth Minister, what the heck are you thinking?

Have you missed the point of the church? It’s not a country club for your entertainment. The church is about making disciples that follow God wholeheartedly. Are you determined for God to see you as a healthy church that seeks His heart and follows Him?

The Healthy Church Vs. The Unhealthy Church: Unity of the Spirit (Continued, Part 3 of 3)

Let’s continue the conversation about the disunity in the churches. Remember that the unhealthy church is a headless body. It tries to operate without the head of the church. God is the head of the church. God is not a book or an interpretation of a book. The unhealthy church body without the head is spiritually blind and deaf. They do not have eyes to see or ears to hear. Their version of unity is a consensus of opinions of man rather than unity with the Spirit. Their doctrine is man-made instead of Spirit-led.

Again, we will briefly recap where we left off in my top ten list of false doctrines in the churches: The FALSE DOCTRINES that we previously discussed are: 1) Mute God; 2) Three Gods; 3) Jesus as a Separate God; 4) Automatically Forgiven; 5) God Needs Counsel; 6) The Holy Spirit is Unable to Anoint; and 7) Women Must Be Silent and/or Women Are Not Allowed to Lead in the Church.

The remaining three false doctrines, of my top ten list, are outlined here:

False Doctrine #8) All are Saved from Hell: Modern Christianity has often done a poor job of expressing God’s heart on the matter of an eternal home and how to secure the coveted destination. Many wrongly teach that God, because He is loving and merciful, cannot have justice or wrath against rebellion and unbelief. Their theology suggests that God would never send anyone to hell. But if there is anyone in hell, and there are, can you guess who sent them there?

* “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” (Matthew 25:41 NIV)

Suggesting that all are saved who took a one-time oath of allegiance is bogus theology. From that false theology spews so many others. It’s likely why so many don’t seem too concerned about the consequences of their rebellion. They are not afraid of God’s wrath because they don’t believe that He is allowed to be angry with a broken oath of allegiance. If we can break our oath, then God can certainly refuse to be our God. If He’s not your God, then He is not your Savior.

* “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21 NIV)

False Doctrine #9) Forgiven by the Blood/Cross: We are forgiven by the will of God. While the atonement process that happened at the cross gave us direct access to God for a forgiveness conversation, it did NOT replace the need for actually asking for forgiveness from God.

That forgiveness conversation also affords you to ask God questions about how you can respond better during the same temptation going forward. God has a will. The cross or the blood at the cross do not have a will. Those are non-thinking things.

God views your heart and motives. The cross and blood cannot view your motives. God has sovereignty over life and death. The cross and blood do not have sovereignty over life and death. The healthy church distinguishes the difference.

Ask God for forgiveness every time. (I ask God every day if there is anything that I need to ask forgiveness for. I listen for His answer. Either it is a time of hearing that I did good or it is a time for me to learn to do better. But it is always a way to safeguard my relationship with God. I don’t ask a cross or blood to forgive me. I ask God to forgive me.)

False Doctrine #10) Spiritual Warfare is Not Real: If spiritual warfare is not real, then why did Jesus evict evil spirits and cast out demons? Why does the Bible warn to resist the devil and to put on the armor of God? Who did the Lord have a conversation with about Job? Why did Jesus have a conversation with the devil in the desert (Matthew 4:1-10) if the devil is not real?

* “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour?” (1 Peter 5:8 NIV)

Now that we have studied those top ten false doctrines, we must NOT stop there. There are many more false doctrines that can be addressed. I can name a few to get you thinking: fasting to force God’s hand, baptismal regeneration, and closed communion. In closing, it’s easy to twist Scriptures to create a theology that gives you what your itching ears want to hear. But knowing that God is watching and examining our motives and heart, should make each person hesitant to jump on the bandwagon with false teachers just because it’s easier than the investment of studying and seeking God.

The Healthy Church Vs. The Unhealthy Church: Unity of the Spirit (Continued)

As God and I were talking this morning, He highlighted a very important word of wisdom for me to share. And it’s this: the unhealthy church is a body without the head. But the healthy church has God as its head. The unhealthy church has its own interpretation of Scriptures as its authority, while the healthy church has God as its authority. Of course, a headless church cannot function in the miraculous gifts that reside in the head. That is why they are spiritually blind and deaf.

All the manifestation of the Spirit gifts are in the head. There are speaking gifts (tongues, message of wisdom, message of knowledge), hearing gifts (faith), sight gifts (distinguishing between spirits), or supernatural power that can only come from the head of the church (healing, miraculous powers, interpretation of tongues, and prophecy). It’s interesting to me that the passage of Scripture that contains the manifestation of the Spirit gifts (in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11) repeatedly says that the one and only Spirit distributes them. That Spirit is the Spirit of God who is the head of the church. His name is Jesus.

Let’s briefly recap where we left off in my top ten list of false doctrines in the churches: The FALSE DOCTRINES that we previously discussed are: 1) Mute God; 2) Three Gods; 3) Jesus as a Separate God; and 4) Automatically Forgiven.

Let’s continue my top-ten list of FALSE doctrines in the church.

False Doctrine #5) God Needs Counsel: I’m sorry but that is exactly how the unhealthy church prays as if God needs their counsel. If God needs your counsel or advice (or that of your pastors or elders) how wise is He? If God needs group consensus in prayer (aka 50 prayer intercessors) before He decides to be more loving, merciful, or compassionate, why bother with individual prayers? Ok those are intentionally sarcastically worded questions, but I hope they hit. It should be obvious that God doesn’t need our advice or suggestions. He is infinitely more wise and loving than we individually or collectively could ever be. Our hope in prayer should be to learn from God and want His will above our own. We can’t do that if we’re doing all the talking. Prayer without hearing God is just a spiritual masturbation. You’re only pleasing yourself. (Note: God said to say it that way. Don’t believe me. Ask Him yourself.)

False Doctrine #6) The Holy Spirit is Unable to Anoint: The unhealthy churches like to allow for the service (innate) gifts while mostly denying the existence of the miraculous gifts that require a manifestation of the Spirit. That’s likely because their God is confined to the pages of a book. But the healthy church knows that God is not dead. God’s supernatural power can be delivered to and through whomever He chooses and whenever He chooses without the permission of the body of the church.

False Doctrine #7) Women Must Be Silent and/or Women Are Not Allowed to Lead in the Church: We have too much Scriptural evidence against this false doctrine to not chalk this one up as a significant win for the enemy. The devil has deceived generations of the church into disqualifying God’s anointing on half of the Kingdom simply based on gender. The same one and only Spirit of God anoints women for ministry as anoints men. The unhealthy church demands that women are inferior in the Kingdom. Remember that God is the head of the church, and we (men and women) are the body of the church.

The Healthy Church Vs. The Unhealthy Church: Unity of the Spirit

The healthy church walks with the Spirit of God, but the unhealthy church has “Him” locked in a book that they lord themselves over. As one who walks with the Spirit of God and hears His voice daily, the differences between the healthy and unhealthy church are monumental. I’m afraid for the generations who will be deceived into spending their lives stuck in the unhealthy church and living as if they have sovereignty over God.

Let’s talk about why there are denominations in Christianity. First let’s remove two big blocks of Christianity from this mix: Catholicism and Mormonism, and intentionally focus in on just Protestant churches. If there were truly unity of the Spirit in Christianity, there would be no need for denominations. Each denomination is a division based on different doctrinal interpretations.

Division is the opposite of unity. So, please don’t think that there is unity of the Spirit where there are denominations in the church. Each denomination carries with it a different set of rules or doctrines. That would not happen if all the churches were walking in unity with the Spirit of God. The individual denominations make no effort to settle doctrinal disputes as if God should be happy with disunity. Instead, they each stand boldly on their own interpretations of Biblical texts as if God doesn’t have a say.

The top ten FALSE DOCTRINES in the churches that I see are:

1) Mute God: This one just floors me. Asking God about doctrine isn’t an option if God cannot speak. Did the devil ever get a bigger win with that false narrative planted in the churches for generations? However, in recent years, the churches are moving towards revelation that God does speak to those in covenant relationship. You don’t need to be sitting in a church pew or putting money in an offering plate to have real relationship with God. Perhaps the churches have enjoyed that false doctrine of “mute God” so that they could preach dependency on organized false religion.

2) Three Gods: There is not a trinity of gods. Christianity is a one-God religion, also known as monotheistic. Now, I don’t have a problem with identifying different roles of God. God is the Father. The Father did make Himself known for a limited time in Son of Man flesh and reveal His name as Jesus. The Father is Spirit, also known as the Holy Spirit. But to be clear, those are roles or positions of God, not separate Gods. There is NOT a God sitting next to another God on thrones in Heaven. If a pastor is praying to God talking about a second God, you can be sure that he/she doesn’t have a relationship with any of their supposed (three) “Gods”. The false “trinity” doctrine is another big win for the devil. If you’re confused about who your God is, then it’s much harder to be in covenant with only one God. If you’re not in covenant with only one God, then you won’t hear His voice in prayer.

3) Jesus as a Separate God: Jesus is God. Jesus is not a separate or subordinate God. Jesus is the one and only, Alpha & Omega. There was no God before Him or no God after Him. He is the one and only God and Savior. If you are worshipping Him as a lesser God than the “real” God, you are deceived.

4) Automatically Forgiven: If everyone is automatically forgiven because of the blood of the cross, who is in Hell? Listen, just because you make an oath of allegiance to follow God, doesn’t mean that you actually follow through with that wholehearted allegiance. If there were no consequences for breaking the covenant oath, why wouldn’t everyone just hedge their bets by reciting words to earn a “get-out-of-hell free” card? If you were saved by the blood that was shed on the cross over 2,000 years ago, why would you need access to a Savior who is alive today? We DO have access to God in prayer because of the cross. We can have forgiveness conversations with Him and learn from Him how to strengthen ourselves against temptation. We must actually have the conversation and be forgiven by God. We are not automatically forgiven.

The remaining six of my top ten false doctrines in the church will follow in a separate post. It’s a lot to take in all at once.
