ONE GOD: Day 3 of 5

In yesterday’s post, I wrote about the Son “flesh” and the Father “Spirit” to remind us that God is Spirit and that God is not flesh. Two thousand plus years ago, God who is Spirit wore Son of God or Son of Man flesh so that He could be visibly seen and audibly heard in the physical realm.

Each time that Jesus referred to Himself as Son of Man while referring to God as Father, He was differentiating between the physical realm flesh and the Spirit. He was differentiating between the temporary Christ suit and His eternal Spirit being. “Son” equals flesh and “Father” equals Spirit. Again, there is only ONE Spirit of God, also known as the Holy Spirit. There is not a separate Spirit of God who made Himself known in flesh and then stayed in flesh to sit on the throne next to a God who was never in flesh. There is only one God who was temporarily in flesh as the Christ whose flesh would be crucified at the appointed time.

Let’s again look at some of the ONE GOD Scriptures to emphasize that there is truly only one God.

“I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:2-6 NIV)

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6 NIV)

“Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.” (Isaiah 46:8-9 NIV)

To recap, there is only ONE GOD. He is Spirit. He did not become a second Spirit of God when He robed Himself in temporary flesh and then eventually sit beside Himself on a throne in Heaven. The references to the Son sitting next to the Father are to remind us of when God intentionally took on flesh as an earthly king and a heavenly King. It was not to divide our allegiance between two separate Spirits of God.

Now let’s talk about the picture attached. Next month marks the 40th anniversary of the death of my youngest brother, Robby. The photo was taken just a few months before he died in a tragic car accident just before his 20th birthday. When I picture Robby in Heaven, this is how I picture him because that’s how he is remembered by me. I know analytically that he doesn’t look like that in Heaven because Robby’s flesh and blood body did not go to Heaven. His spirit being went to Heaven to be with God. I was at Robby’s funeral. I saw his temporary/earthly body in the casket. I saw the casket buried in the ground. And I know that all that is remaining of his human form is physical DNA that can be found in his decomposing skeletal bones. But Robby wasn’t ever just flesh and bones, he was a spirit being inside that temporary body.

So why is this important to the discussion of one God? Let’s see if I can make this understandable. We picture Jesus sitting on a throne in Heaven the way that He was present on earth (more than 2,000 years ago). The image we have of him doesn’t ever age or change. It is a fixed image in our mind of what He looked like when He was here in bodily form. But what we miss in that image is that Jesus is Spirit. He is the one and only Holy Spirit of God. He was only temporarily in bodily form for a period of time on our calendar. The essence of who He was then is His Spirit who is the Creator God. Jesus is not sitting next to God. He is God.

One God: Day 2 of 5

The Son of God or Son of Man labels represented the empty flesh and blood frame that the Spirit of God wore as He walked on earth in the physical realm. We understand that packaged person (flesh and Spirit) to be known as Jesus. Jesus was at that time both flesh and Spirit. The Spirit part of that union is the Spirit of God. The flesh part of that union was temporary and disposable just like our flesh is temporary. The Spirit is eternal. Jesus is that eternal Spirit. That Spirit is the one and only Spirit of God. God is a title. Jesus is His name.

There is not an empty, human born, flesh and blood frame sitting next to the Spirit of God in the spiritual realm (Heaven). Therefore there is not a “Son of God” or “Son of Man” sitting on a throne next to the one and only God in Heaven. So why are there Biblical references to a Son sitting next to the Father in Heaven?

Did you ever notice when reading about God, that He often answered questions with another question? He spoke in parables and seldom gave a simple “Yes” or “No” direct answer. Why is that? Perhaps it was because He wanted us to think more analytically and discern His answer deeper. So let’s do that here.

Why would God need a second God to sit next to Him in Heaven? If God is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (always present), and omnipotent (all powerful), why would we conclude that He needs help being God? If He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, how could a human-born flesh-and-blood frame be before and after Him? If God is the Creator, then why would He need a created, empty (without Spirit) human to sit on His throne in Heaven?

So again why the references of a human born Son sitting next to the Spirit of God in Heaven? Those two positions represent the spiritual realm and the physical realm. Heaven is the spiritual realm. When the Spirit of God temporarily wore a human-born flesh-and-blood frame, He was visible in the physical realm. The representation of that flesh body sitting next to the Spirit of God in Heaven gives us a memorial representation of Him in flesh. Rather than leave us without closure or grieving our loss of Him in the physical realm, we can visualize His fleshly existence sitting next to His Spirit in Heaven. We know that there are no flesh and blood beings in the spiritual realm of Heaven, but grief can cause us not to analyze the obvious. We know that our human bodies do not go to Heaven when we die. We bury them with the understanding that our spirit goes to Heaven to be with the Spirit of God. God is Spirit. God is not flesh.

So in the physical realm, King David was promised by God (in the spiritual realm) that he (David) would always have an heir on the throne. That again is figurative language or a parable to describe that a human born descendent of King David’s lineage would always be on the throne. Let’s look at a few Scripture verses to prove this out.

The promise:
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.” (See also Jeremiah 23:5-6 and Acts 2:39-40)

We know that the “child” is the child that was born from Mary’s womb. Mary was in the lineage of King David. (Study: Matthew 1:1, Matthew 22:42.) The child represents the human-born flesh-and-blood frame, NOT the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God is the Creator. The word that became flesh was the Creator’s Spirit Voice that made Himself audible and visible in the physical realm.

God could have made all this much easier to understand. Why didn’t He? Maybe He wants us to get to know Him in the spiritual realm more intimately. A Reminder: God is not a book and God is not flesh. God is Spirit!

“You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” (John 5:39-40 NIV)

One God: Day 1 of 5

Before I go attacking the false doctrines of the four remaining pastors that God has assigned to me as His prophet, I want to say that I heard some really good things that demonstrate a heart for God from this weekend’s online sermons.

Consistently I have seen the right heart from “my” pastors. They seem to want to please God even bringing a little bit of uncomfortable stuff into the challenges that they speak to the congregations that follow them. But how long is the right heart enough when false doctrines are being taught? It seems that only God knows the answer to that. I’m still shocked from God saying that He hates one pastor who He removed from my assignment. That God doesn’t want me to waste my time on the pastor with the wrong heart speaks volumes.

So for the pastors with the right heart, I really want to help you overcome the wrong doctrines. I’ve invested much already in directing you to seek the Lord, and I want to see you succeed rather than receive God’s wrath. This week, I will daily post about there being only one God (not three 1/3rd gods). I hope that God will put it on your heart to really study this with Him. You seeking Him on this doctrine will go a long way towards pleasing Him.

Let’s look at one very important Scripture first. Remember that every time you teach contrary to this Scripture, it’s the same as calling God a liar.

Isaiah 43:10-11
“You are my witnesses,’ declares the LORD, ‘and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.”

Did God lie when He proclaimed that there is no god before Him or after Him? Did God lie when He said that He is the only Savior? That’s what your three-God theology sounds like to me. It sounds very much like you are saying that God is a liar. Why would He put up with that?

So, please ask the Lord “God, is there one God or three Gods?”. If you really have a relationship with Him that includes hearing His voice, it’s not a difficult conversation to have … or it shouldn’t be! But maybe you are lying about hearing God’s voice. That’s more likely in my opinion.

A Church In Infancy

Early this year, God sent me to an infant church that had not even moved into its own church facility. I know that His timing for sending me there was so that the church could rid itself of false doctrine before getting firmly established. God sent me there with the notion that they would change their false theologies. But they did not change, in fact the pastor has refused to seek God.

God said of that pastor “I hate his ugly heart towards correcting doctrines. He has had ample time to seek me and turn away from the false teachings but instead he has stubbornly preached the primary false doctrine as though it were true.” How can God bless a church or even want to build it when it sits entrenched in wrong teaching? The pastor seems to be trying to draw people to his side of the issue rather than to destroy the false doctrine that caused God to send His prophet with a message. It seems that he won’t be able to change his false doctrine now without admitting openly that he was wrong. His pride won’t allow him to do that easily. Should God refuse to help him until he gets the doctrine right? Should God withdraw His presence and leave the church right where they choose to be?

Today God sent me to another new church for the same exact reason. The church is The Gathering Church led by a male and a female copastors. Already they have more going for them than the previous church because they actually have a female pastor. I LOVE that!!!! (The other church forbids female pastors. No wonder God hates their ugliness.)

I loved much of what was said at the church this morning by both Sonia and Dan. It’s hard to be the one that God will use once again to confront the false doctrine of multiple gods. There is only one God. There is not a second and third God seated next to Him or with His authority. God is Spirit. God is the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God. Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Jesus is no longer in Son of God or Son of Man flesh. He is the only Spirit seated on the one and only sovereign throne as God.

I know that God had me visit the church this morning to see the pastors’ hearts. Their hearts are right. I don’t want to hurt them by telling them that the trinity doctrine is wrong because that immediately takes on an adversarial role if they don’t understand that I’m bringing the message from God. But I also don’t want God to look at them with contempt later because I didn’t want the uncomfortableness of confronting their false doctrine. Again, I believe God has urgency to this because they are just getting established. It would be so much better to start out with sound doctrine than how the earlier mentioned church handled things.

Do they even believe that God sends prophets? Will I be dismissed as unimportant and yelled at publicly like at the other church earlier this year? Or will I be welcomed to help insure that the doctrines are exactly what God wants taught? Will they seek God with all their heart or spend their energy persecuting His prophet? I guess we will find out.

Caution: Uncomfortable Destination

Do you have the courage that it takes to confront the hard stuff? Will you allow God to expose your wrong thinking? Will you trust Him to force you forward towards your destiny calling?

Listen, anyone can sit back and take the easy way … the road of least resistance. The devil is not afraid of those who choose comfort over obedience to God. The devil will not put stumbling blocks in the road of those who aren’t going anywhere. However, God will purposely move you in His chosen direction.

If God loves you enough to want you in His Kingdom family, then He is going to make things uncomfortable when you are sitting in false doctrine, choosing wrong advice from foolish counselors, or refusing to invest in your Kingdom calling. Yes, it’s loving for God to want you to be all that you can be. To do that, He can’t let you sit comfortably choosing worldly things over Kingdom calling.

I would much rather God make things hard for me, than to ignore me in my unbelief. What about you? Are you comfortable in your unbelief? Are you satisfied with false doctrines as long as you get your comfortable seat of honor at church? Do you like putting money in an offering plate to be seen by the world even though God knows that you are strengthening the hands of the false teachers?

What will God need to do to get your attention? What tactics will He use to unseat your false gods? What are you risking by ignoring God? Is there anything that God won’t take from you to get you to focus your heart with Him? Is there anyone He won’t unseat to help you choose Him on the throne? From where I’m sitting, it’s much more comfortable to choose God, hear His voice, and obey than to risk everything by ignoring Him. Hell is real and many people are sitting comfortably waiting for their final destruction.

“They strengthen the hands of the evildoers.”

“They strengthen the hands of the evildoers.” I heard those words from the Lord as He talked to me about the titheing congregants of churches where false doctrine is taught. Not only are they complicit with the false teaching but they are strengthening the hands of the evildoers who teach false doctrine by contributing money to their cause.

Of course, God is always examining the hearts of every action to determine motives. That never changes. But He also knows when He has spoken to your heart about the false doctrines. So He knows that you are ignoring spiritual turmoil while you sit in those church pews hearing contrary doctrines to His heart.

Recently God told me that He hates one of the five pastors that He previously assigned to me. I questioned Him over and over if He really meant that He hated the pastor. Every time God answered that He hated the pastor. What? Is that even allowed? I questioned God did He mean that He hated the false doctrines being taught by the pastor. Oh yes, He hates the false doctrines but in the case of the pastor in question, God said He hates his heart towards God and the Kingdom. The pastor has continually refused God.

I reminded God that all of the pastors that He assigned to me still teach falsely on certain subjects. Again, God reiterated that He hates the false doctrines but that the hearts of the other four pastors are aimed to please God. But the one pastor does not have a heart for God, and God chooses to turn against him. Now this may not materialize obviously in the physical realm (and it may) but in the spiritual realm, the pastor will certainly be punished for grieving the heart of God. … And then, there were four!

Isaiah 63:10 NIV
“Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.”

Proverbs 29:1 NIV
“Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.”

Proverbs 1: 23-33 NIV
“Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

Sin Responsibility

As a mother, it was important for me to teach my children their responsibility to know God, hear His voice, and obey Him. As soon as I understood how to hear God for myself, I wanted them to learn also. But even before that we had what most would consider a godly home. From infancy, my children went to church with their parents. They grew up with Christian friends. They were taught to read the Bible and care about their place in the Kingdom.

My children probably got more Bible knowledge than most because I led community Bible studies at my church, at the YMCA, and at the public Library throughout their formative years. I facilitated DVD studies by leading female evangelists and teachers for more than a decade. Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and many others taught us to draw near to God. As I grew in the Lord, I wanted everyone else to have the same opportunity to grow too. I gave much of myself to include others on the journey with me.

As a prophet, I have been trained by God to bring a word from Him. That training required that God take me away from my former married status, my children, my home, my family and friends. Very much like a military man or woman who trains/serves at a military base away from home or in a foreign land. The need to help others grow in their relationship with God is the same as it was with my children or the ladies in the community Bible studies. As a prophet, I’m tasked with bringing a message directly from God rather than from a human teacher.

As a deliverance minister, it is most imperative that I teach of the need to know God. Without an unbroken covenant relationship with God, the devil, demons, and evil spirits have access to potential loved ones. God will allow it if we don’t have the right heart towards Him. He only agrees to be our God if we agree to choose Him (in all decisions) as our God. If we are ignoring God in choices, then He will ignore us in our rebellion. It’s not complicated to understand. It’s not that different than the marriage relationship. If a spouse chooses to cheat, there are consequences that are tied to the severity of their unfaithfulness. It’s that way with God too. If we cheat on the covenant relationship, God allows us to have the little “g” god of our desire. He removes His hand of protection because there is no room for two gods on one throne. Who is on the throne of your life?

The attached page explains sin responsibility. Our family line is important when God’s justice is being expressed. We have a personal sin responsibility, a sin responsibility tied to our parents’ sins against God, and responsibility for our children’s sins too. But don’t believe me … ask God yourself.

Dwellers in Unity?

The word “unity” gets tossed about quite a bit in the Christian community. It seems that some think it means a unity of opinions or a unity of picking a pastor or a unity of acceptance. Rarely do I hear unity being referred to as unity of the Spirit. That’s largely because so few actually walk with the Spirit of God.

The ONLY way that the churches can reach unity of the Spirit is to have SOUND DOCTRINE. If all the churches are teaching differently on most every topic there is obviously no unity of the Spirit. It happens because the church orators are teaching their own fleshly interpretation of Scriptures rather than hearing God teach them the truth of His heart. Every person on the planet can give a different interpretation of Biblical texts if they are not INTENTIONALLY taught by the Spirit of God. The devil loves to manipulate interpretations to create whole new denominations (or demonizations). Those are the divisions that destroy unity.

Is it so crazy that God would send His prophets to antagonize (warn, caution, and rebuke) the false teachers into seeking God about true doctrine? It is the false doctrines that destroy unity, not God’s anointed prophets. Or do you believe that God would rather that all the churches teach differently and contradictory to God’s will to yet another generation? Why would you try to build God’s Kingdom on a foundation of untruth and half-hearted pursuit of God’s specific will?

Unity of the Spirit is certainly NOT about getting as many people as possible to follow a false theology and naming it a church. If you love your brothers and sisters in churches that are teaching falsely, then you should do everything possible (as led by the Spirit) to address their false doctrines and teach them truth. It may seem like antagonism but in reality it is love. Love does uncomfortable things when necessary. The Master Gardener does PRUNE the branches so that they bear good fruit.

Unity of the Spirit requires knowing God, seeking Him for all truth, and following Him wherever and whenever He leads. Nobody can do that without hearing His voice. Nobody!

Do No Harm?

There is a vast difference in being helpful or being harmful. If you are tasked with confronting the hard stuff it requires attacking the problem without attacking the person.

If any one of you thinks that you can do my job, then prove it. Show me how you confront the false theologies of another pastor that you are sure is teaching falsely. First, you have to be certain of their error. You can only do that by talking with the Lord at length about it. You must know that you are not the one with false theology in that area. Then, you must have direction from God to address the false theology. When you have the insight, courage, and permission to move forward, you must do it wanting to rid the person of the false theology more than to prove something else.

It takes care and strategy to dissect the error from the person without wounding them unnecessarily. Now, listen, if they aren’t willing to deal with their false theology and expect to go on teaching it to another generation, then you will have to approach things with more emphasis. That’s where I am with most of you pastors. I’m still following God’s direction carefully but don’t be surprised if He decides to unveil things in a way that exposes you more publicly. I think each of you knows that I tried to address the issues privately many times first (exactly as God led me to).

Prove to me that you’ve got what it takes to do my job. Show me how you disprove false doctrine. Steve Yuke, how would you explain to the false teachers that women in ministry are not inferior to men? How would you explain that they are wrong in a way that convinces them that everything that they have taught on the subject has faulty foundation? Show me that you can be the antagonist when God sends you. It’s not as easy as you think.

Listen, most of you guys have plenty of things that I could mock you about to defame you. I’m not trying to do that. I’m trying to fix what is broken. If you won’t listen to me, please listen to God. Seek Him and know true doctrine. It’s easier to learn from Him than to be burdened by me. But He knows if you are doing that or not. Mostly not!

Conversation With God (082625)

God: Child, are you not pleased with your assignment?

Me: God, I love working with you and hearing your voice. I would not ever want to change that. But, the assignment feels like a heavy burden. Not because of your expectations but because the truth that you want carried is rarely met with acceptance. It feels like I’m at odds continually with the people that you send me to.

God: Child, they are not rejecting you. They are rejecting me. It’s me that they refuse to seek. It’s me that they refuse to listen to. You have their attention, and you are always reminding them to seek me with priority. Beloved, I am your encourager. You don’t need their approval. I love you and am with you always. I will not leave you or abandon you.

Me: God, it doesn’t seem like they are making any progress against their false doctrines. It’s been a lot of work on my part and it doesn’t seem to be making a difference. How much of my life must be sacrificed to reach the stubborn pastors for them to change?

God: Child, you have done my will completely. You are not responsible for the outcome. I am. I will affect the change needed in one way or another. Just keep doing your job with expectation of my righteous justice. But, you should know child, that you have made a difference. You’re too close to the subject to see clearly the changes that are happening.

Me: Will you tell me who has improved and who has shut me out?

God: Child, not one of the pastors that I have assigned you to oversee have shut you out. Each one of them is watching closely to see what you are writing. They respect you for your wholehearted pursuit of truth and for sharing it so willingly. Not one of them has sacrificed more or worked harder to communicate my will. Please Jasmine, don’t carry this as a burden but as a high honor. You hear my voice in a way that they could only hope to know. Their improvement may be slow, but it is happening in very subtle ways.

Me: Lord, I don’t want to complain about the assignment. I want to be wholeheartedly devoted to your will. But it hurts to constantly be pushed away and rejected.

God: Jasmine, you are not being rejected. They are jealous and greedy for power. You, my beloved, are everything that they hope to be. You are gifted in every way. You have courage that they admire. You have strength against persecution. You are beautiful while they have ugliness that needs to be dealt with. I love you Jasmine. Don’t focus on their hateful ways. Focus on me.

Me: Thank you God. You always make me feel better. I needed that peace that only you can afford.

Note: The Lord gave me a new name at the beginning of this journey together. The name Jasmine is pronounced Yaz-meen when He says it. He rarely ever calls me Tammie.
