To Get You Where You’re Going …

My children bought me a new laptop computer for Christmas. Seems like it was just in time because my desktop computer keeps shutting down right in the middle of things. I’ve tried everything to solve the problems with it but it has come to the end of life thanks to the Windows 11 upgrade not being compatible.

Early this morning, I was once again trying to analyze, optimize, defragment, and debug the computer. While waiting for the processing, I remembered that I had a soda in the refrigerator. I thought to myself that I should sneak and have a sip even though soda is not appropriate for mornings. When I asked God if sneaking soda made me an addict, He said something rather profound. “At times you need different things to get you where you’re going.”

Most likely, God was pointing to the loss of my old computer and my mourning it. It’s not that I don’t want the new one, I certainly do. But me and the old computer have history. It has a comfortable keyboard and mouse that are different from the new laptop. This is kinda weird to say but it has a comfortable presence about it. I always know where to find it. I just leave it plugged in and don’t have to worry about charging it for portability (or overcharging the battery). I guess what I’m getting at is that where I’m going with God must require a more portable workstation in the form of the laptop gift. I get it. Soon, me and the laptop will have a successful working relationship (hopefully).

I’m also realizing that my 20-year-old van is still with me for the same reasons. We have a history. But “she” breaks down a lot. I have had to learn to keep my travels within a few miles of home in case there is an issue. Currently the van leaks power steering fluid, oil, and all the radiator contents through freeze plugs that aren’t easily accessible to change. Still “she” is comfortable. Much more comfortable than a car-payment and increased insurance.

Now that I’m in my later years of life, I’m seeing that many of my systems are not currently compatible either. Like my old van, I’m not easily up for the challenges of the long road ahead. The most burdensome thing about making the new teaching videos has been getting comfortable with all the technology changes. Let me name a few things that I have had to manage in this process. First, I needed to have a camera/phone that I can navigate for recording the videos. (My daughter gave me an unused phone of hers, but it has different screen commands than mine). Then, I purchased sound equipment: lapel microphones and receiver, and learned how to manage them. Lighting is next. In addition, I must also manage a YouTube channel, a website, and know how to post the videos on social media sites. Did I mention that I’m 63 years old? I was around when memory typewriters were the newest technology. When I was in my 20s, working at McDonnell Douglas, I helped manage a videoconferencing room. Cell phones were not a thing.

Thankfully, my daughter is conveniently nearby and helps me when I cry out in frustration. I accidently deleted the first video that I recently made and had to upload it again and change all the URL codes after I had already posted everything to the social media sites. Maybe me, my old computer, and my old van should all retire and leave all this to the newer models?

Please know that I’m trying to fulfill my full purpose even if it doesn’t always look pretty. If God wasn’t telling me to do this, I would likely sit this out and allow the more trendy ones to set the pace, but then there would be one less person trying to rid the churches of false doctrine. That’s not acceptable! Please be patient with me and occasionally give me a “like” for encouragement.

A Cheerful Giver?

I made the mistake of asking …

So, I asked God what He wanted as a Christmas gift from me to Him. I expected Him to say that my love and admiration were all the gift He needed. But, instead God said that He wants me to create my first video in this new season describing who He is.

Oh I wanted the first one to be an easy introduction, and maybe even kinda cute, about why knowing true doctrine is important. After much conversation with Him, the first one is going to be very deep theology made simple. I have a headache!

Well since I asked, now I must deliver. So in the next few days, maybe not in time for Christmas, I hope to record the first doctrinal video. I’m praying that God equips me to handle the technology issues. I just received the new mini wireless microphones and haven’t even taken the time to read the instructions or charge them yet. The lighting that I ordered wasn’t quite what I expected. So we’ll see how this first one takes off. Did I mention that I’m having computer issues? Listen, I expected that if God really wanted this gift, He could make it a little easier to deliver. (Don’t tell on me for shaking my head and rolling my eyes.)

My love language is actually gift giving but I’m feeling a little reluctant with this one. Every time that I say that “I can’t do it”, God says that I can. I guess vacation time is OVER! All this and putting together the False and Repulsive Theologies (FART) Awards for the false teachers by the end of the year. Whatever God wants …

The Broken Covenant & Deliverance

The covenant relationship demands wholehearted allegiance. If we go outside of that priority obedience, then we break covenant.

All sin is covenant-breaking and can be traced back to not obeying God. That is why the covenant restoration conversation is so important. We must restore a broken covenant or we will not have God’s protection or provision. In fact, we can grieve God with our sin to the point that He allows the devil to target us and torment us. God is a jealous God! If you’re not serving Him as your one and only God, then you’re serving another “god” (probably yourself as a little “g” god).

The attached pages are a continuation of the 2021 letters to the pastors locally. These pages from the May, Mark of Excellence Newsletter, explain Deliverance. At any time, you can stop right where you are and ask God for forgiveness. It’s this simple: “God, is there anything that I need to ask forgiveness for?” Then listen to His silent-prayer voice answer. Ask Him as many questions as you need to so that you may learn from your mistake and know how not to repeat them when facing the same temptations.

The Missing Piece — The Covenant Oath

One day, about eight years ago, God awakened me in the early morning hours and told me to sit in front of my computer. He was going to give me the most important page of information to share. Mind you, I was already more than a decade into my walk with hearing God. How could there be something new that warranted such “urgent” focus?

Little did I know that it was the missing piece in every aspect of ministry. If I could describe the covenant oath adequately, it affected when/if a person would hear God. It gave understanding to God’s discipline and punishment. How could this have never been taught to me in 50 years of church attendance? God was right, it was the most important page. Understanding the covenant oath made all the other pieces of the puzzle fit perfectly in place.

So, of course, it had to be a topic for discussion with the local pastors. In April, 2021, I included it in the monthly “Mark of Excellence” doctrinal newsletters. The cover letter and four pages of the newsletter are attached here. The page with the throne image is similar to the page that God had me create on that morning in 2017. What do you think? Have the local pastors been more effective in communicating the importance of the covenant relationship?

HEARING GOD: Step 3: Seek God’s Faith Step

I started these new-year posts about learning to discern God’s voice specifically for the people at Crossroads Church who were doing a corporate fast for 21 days. I wanted to help them learn to seek God rather than the traditional prayer mechanism of providing God a checklist of expectations. God is not looking for a honey-do list. He’s God. We’re the ones who are supposed to be seeking Him for advice and counsel. But you won’t know to do that if you have only been taught to tell God versus listening to God in prayer. If these posts have accomplished nothing else, I hope they have planted seeds to cause God’s children to humbly seek Him. It has been my honor and privilege to accompany you on the journey.

In earlier posts, we have reviewed Step 1: Get Alone With God; and Step 2: Covenant Restoration. All that’s left is to seek direction.

Let’s Recap:
1) You must have pledged on oath for God to be your one and only God.
2) You must only have one God. God is His title. Jesus is His name.
3) You must be in good covenant standing with God. If you have sinned against Him then you must have a specific covenant restoration conversation. This process is also known as asking for forgiveness or to repent.
4) You must renounce (deny and refuse) all counterfeit gods.
5) All your spiritual authority/allegiance must be under God’s lordship. (We are spiritual beings who temporarily wear a flesh-and-blood, human-born frame until our spirit is assigned to heaven or hell at physical death.)

Attached (or at the link provided) are two pages from The Rogue Prophet Magazine, “The Covenant Voice of God” (pages 37-38, dated August 2024). These pages complete the three-step process that I use to help people position themselves to hear God. Remember that God is always looking at our heart motives and our willingness to obey Him. Page 38 is a list of sample questions to ask God. Also included is a one-page worksheet designed to help you organize the process of learning to hear God’s voice in prayer.

The only way that any of us can know God’s heart and true doctrine is to hear God’s voice of instruction. The churches today are a mess of false doctrines because pastors have not learned to seek God and hear from Him. They stand instead on denominational interpretations of Scriptures which are different for each denomination or faction of the churches. True interpretation of Scripture can only be found by studying at the feet of Jesus through hearing His voice in prayer. If only pastors understood that their seminary certificates are man-made and represent nothing to God when a pastor teaches falsely. All false religions have their own form of seminary that train their leaders bogus religion too. God expects you to seek Him and receive truth from Him. If you can’t do that, please step down from the pulpit.

Church Assessments 1/16/25

God knows how to make you cry out to Him. You can profess that He is unconditionally a merciful God with unlimited patience with you, but you are just making that up. Anyone who has read the Bible should know that God has wrath against rebellion. Teaching falsely is rebellion.

The church belongs to God, not to the pastor, nor the congregants. I don’t know whose names are on the physical documents or deeds, but I am certain that God is the head of the church. He has every right to demand that true doctrine is taught. Every person involved in the operation of the church (including putting money in an offering tray) is complicit with any false teaching. God can and WILL terrorize your church until you submit to His authority regarding teaching truth. He can make the most vulnerable sick. He can create little accidents. God can do the unfathomable if He chooses. He certainly can withhold mercy to get your attention. Every time that there is a funeral in your church family, you should be warned that God knows how to make you cry out to Him. But instead you deny His messengers, troll His prophets, and persecute His beloved. How’s that working for you?

In the Old Testament of the Bible, we can read about how the Israelites kept provoking God’s wrath with their false gods/idols. God would allow them to be taken into captivity and treated viciously by their enemies. They would cry out to God, and eventually He would send them a deliverer. Read the pages in the Bible from the book of Judges and see if you come to the same conclusion. In the modern day, I believe that God has sent Trump as a deliverer for our nation. But God is clearly making Himself known in acts of God that the ungodly deem as climate change. Even some Christians refuse to believe that God has sovereignty over the climate. God can protect one house while He allows fire to destroy everything around it. God can protect His beloved completely while hurricanes decimate surrounding areas. God sent plagues that killed thousands upon thousands exactly as He chose. (Read 2 Samuel 24:15-25.) God doesn’t need permission to make His authority known. In man-made fires or plagues, God still has sovereignty to protect His loved ones. If He doesn’t protect you, He chose not to. Sorry, that’s just the truth whether you believe it or not.

• “Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings. But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, since you disregard all my advice and do not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD. Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” (Proverbs 1:23-33 NIV)

Attached are two pages about Heaven and Hell (from The Rogue Prophet Magazine, “The Top 10 False Teachings in the Churches”, June 2023, pages 22 and 23). Do you have the courage to study about God’s power to send people to hell or will you instead insist that God must always be merciful?

Crossroads Community Church of God

God doesn’t need any person’s permission to be God. I hope you heard that loud and clear. Read it again. God DOES NOT need your permission to be God. Certainly, you’re not the one that God wakes up at 3:00 am to discuss these church assessments with so you might not understand how important they are to God. But I do. God chose me as His prophet. God anoints me as His prophet. God constantly humbles me as His prophet. God holds me in place and refuses to let me choose anything other than His will. There are promised wrath constantly held over me if I refuse Him. Maybe that’s not the God that you know, but you also don’t know God very well. I hear His voice every day. I must seek Him for every decision. The life of a prophet is very confined and isolated. But hey, if you think you want this role, please tell God that you give Him permission to use you to deliver this message. But until then, this is where He chooses to deliver His messages about the churches. Jonah spent three days in the belly of a whale and put the entire ship of people in danger because he refused God’s request to deliver a message. I don’t want that.

All of that is said to remind the readers that none of this is meant to harm a specific pastor. I’ve already clearly stated that the pastor at Crossroads Community Church has a heart for God. There are other pastors in the assessments ahead that will hear a strong word of rebuke from God. I will not refuse God’s message. You can shoot the messenger all you want but God has no problem removing pastors from pulpits without notice or consent. Recently, there was a local pastor who God had me deliver messages to for two years. I sent mailed letters. I sent emails. I sent private messages on Facebook. I created and printed newsletters and doctrinal magazines and sent them to the pastor all at my own expense. All of the messages were to alert the pastor to false doctrines in the church. I invested a lot of time and energy. When God had enough of it, though, the pastor was quickly removed from the pulpit and replaced. God is not messing around with this. Please people get on board with this move of God. I’m not ever at any time asking you to believe me solely. I’m asking you to seek God on these subjects. Quit being lazy and non-committal and get in the game. Choose God! Seek God! Want God’s will! That’s all that I’m asking of you. Get your head out of your android and seek God!

Oh, and by the way, God is watching every word that is posted on social media. He sees if you imply that He needs your permission to use me in this way. You will just bring His wrath on you if you try to dissuade me from bringing His message. But I already know that some of you are more stupid than useful. Sorry, that’s just the facts. Don’t provoke God. It’s easier for me to deliver a tame message from Him than to feel the full weight of His displeasure and wrath in the words. God knows that I don’t like to watch when He disciplines you. I never could stand to see my siblings get the belt growing up. Still don’t like it!

Restored Covenant?

Without fail, as part of my bedtime routine and early morning wakeup conversations with God, I ask Him a series of questions to gauge my position under His authority. One question is “Lord, is there anything that I need to ask forgiveness for?” His response is “You have done my will exactly.”

You might think that being exactly in His will would warrant great reward and no difficulties. The consistent rewards are: 1) I continue to hear God’s voice; 2) He makes His presence known; and 3) He chooses to protect me and my children from the devil’s activities against us.

My obedience, however, does not equate to an easy life. Most of the time, it feels like I am in a perpetual spiritual bootcamp being constantly trained, pushed to the limits of my capabilities, and purposely weakened and humbled. That probably doesn’t sound like favor, but it is growth. That growth is required for God to continue to trust me with the anointing of hearing His voice and the supernatural anointings of the manifestation of the Spirit of God. So don’t look at me or my physical surroundings to gauge my walk with God, and I will not judge your hard situations as punishment from God either. Although, if I hear God say that you’re being punished, well then, I’m not going to argue with Him or assist you outside of His will.

Prayer is the vehicle for conversation with God. Thankfully, we can silently pray anywhere at any time. We don’t need permission from anyone to seek God. However, to hear God speak to you in prayer, you need to be in unbroken covenant with Him. Covenant relationship simply means that you have chosen Him as your only God and choose to obey Him. Restoration of a broken covenant requires the forgiveness conversation discussed in paragraph 1 above. Again, hearing His voice doesn’t guarantee an easy life but it does position you to be exactly in His will when you obey His direction. There is one thing that I’m sure of … I would be completely lost without Him. Are you?
