Excuse me, but the pope is full of poop. Why would the clergy purposely speak contrary to the will of God? I think every Christian should ask God themselves. Don’t believe me. Don’t believe your pastor. Don’t believe your spouse or parent. Don’t believe the fake news and the podcast journalists. Go have your own conversation with God. Learn to hear His voice in prayer (and please don’t be stupid enough to try to go through Mary in the process). (That’s probably where the poop is getting his info.)
